holy mother of metal.....thats IS an awesome line-up O_O

hmmmm maiden aint coming (and slayer neither probably), motley was last year.... but Alice Cooper as headline + Edguy and CC would be so great (along with Bolt Thrower, Hypocrisy, Rotting Christ and FF.... ok, im asking too much^^)

hey all,

got another question about the camping. Can we bring our own food/drinks ? Like i heard they didnt let you bring bottles of water...and that's bad (can get quite hot).  Just to know if we have to buy all the food in the camp (or in markets around clisson), but i guess i can sometimes be easier if you could get your own stuff (you can´t find good spanish chorizo in clisson big_smile )

You can bring our own drinks and food inside the campsite : no restriction whatsoever (that means as many crates you can carry wink).

I had no problem taking a bottle of juice into the arena itself. The first time the security just sniffed it to see if it contained alcohol and let me in. The second time it was sealed so no problem getting it in.

Regarding the arena : you're not supposed to do so but sometimes security allows you.

Great idea. Although I didn't find myself drinking too much inside the arena.

Re : Your questions about Hellfest!

I thought from the frontpage of the Hellfest website that full price tickets were on sale from 1 January? But it doesn't seem possible to book tickets via the website yet. Any news on when full price tickets will be able to be booked via the website?

Thanks very much

Richard

That should be available from Monday. Digitick should already have them online but that's not the case unfortunately.
The new official Hellfest website (new design etc.) should be available very soon as well. smile

There will be 2011 passes available at the merch stall this year and 'a good surprise' included...

@euan : some Hellfest staff member confirmed that it should have been available from January 1st.
He did not not know why passes were not available as it was originally planned and he assumed that it should be OK on Monday
(I corrected the typing mistake btw wink)

Another thing I wanted to mention...The organizers may wanna post news about the third announcement earlier than expected, if possible. I mean, look around, just a little : people start to sell their 3 days pass to go to the sonisphere or Wacken instead. Which is quite evident : look at those festivals bills. Better announce something great, and quickly.

Sorry man, but this is ridiculous.
Even without the third announcement Hellfest has already the best Line Up for 2010 compared to other big Festivals.
Unlike most Metal Festivals they care about the whole doom/sludge/stoner stuff which makes Hellfest unbeatable. But this is of course matter of taste.
Anyway I'll be there in 2010 again, travelling about 1500km cause it's simply the best Festival I've ever witnessed.

I couldn't agree more mate.

The Hellfest bill is almost perfect as it is, and I'm quite sure there'll something great for us in the third announcement no matter what.

I'll be travelling 1750 km and I'm there for sure!

Hey all,

I was wondering if in a near future there would be some sort of map about the camping/stages to download on the website, or will we just see that on the first day ?

The staff is currently working on improving the whole thing but 2010 will be very similar to 2009

Re : Your questions about Hellfest!

Hi All, thanks for this thread, lots of helpful answers here.

Gonna make the journey from the US to Clisson for this (first ever outdoor festival! woohoo) and just was wondering does this:

http://www.digitick.com/hellfest-open-a … 07731.html

include your ticket to the festival? I'm having a hard time figuring it out.

Also, do I need to brush up on my French in order to be moderately sucessful at navigating the fest/region it's in?

Thanks!

Thanks Leping!

also, why the hell does Argon "include" camping in their package? Isn't that part of the festival ticket?

Re : Your questions about Hellfest!

I can only speculate.  I think that might be cos Argon also do hotel packages, so it is easy to identify the difference.  Also, lots of Brits use Argon, and some of the English festivals charge separately for camping - so it makes it easier for us Brits to understand.    You're right though - the 3 day pass is all in.

ah, fair enough, thanks Martin! I'm kind of torn on who to go with but that first link is wayyy cheaper than Argon.

Probably because the trip is shorter from Paris ! wink
The good thing with the Argon offer is that you get to Clisson on Thurdsay. Instead of Friday mid-morning with the French offer, knowing that the first band will hit the stage at 11am and that the campsite will already be quite packed by then...

hm that IS something to think about. My airfare would also be fairly cheaper going to London instead of Paris. Maybe even enough to make up the difference.

Also I saw the question asked earlier, but is there somewhere to buy a tent, near the fest site?
